Wedding Inspiration: Caribbean Rustic Charm Photoshoot

Blog

Whenever anyone thinks of a Caribbean wedding the first thought is always by the beach. So earlier this year I decided to plan and style a photo shoot on a plantation house in Jamaica to show how different themes besides the obvious can also work for a destination wedding.

Featured on Jet Fete the destination wedding blog from Bridal Bar here I wanted to share some more images with you and the reason for them.

Inspired by the Twilight wedding last year I decided on gypsophila or baby’s breath flowers to give this rustic shoot the country feel it needed especially surrounded by all the natural settings for the ceremony at Bellefield Plantation House.

To blend with the natural colour theme of green, cream and brown I looked to a bygone era with the bride wearing Charlotte Casadejus’s Audrey dress, with its flattering silk georgette material and vintage touches. Along with pearl earrings supplied by Luella’s Boudoir and mother of pearl heeled shoes by Freya Rose.

Dropping the usual wedding attire for the groom I opted to compliment the surroundings with an earthy coloured suit and tie.It was a lot of hard work but extremely fun and I hope these pictures inspire you to think you can have the theme you are after regardless of whether you’re having a destination wedding or not.

Watch this space for more later this month!
