Last month I had the pleasure of being in New York with the UKAWP. Our goal was simple. To learn from the best.
One of my unforgettable highlights had to be meeting event and wedding designer Preston Bailey, renowned for transforming raw ordinary spaces into elaborate theatrical creations.
Preston had been on my radar since starting my business three years ago as the man making his mark on the industy, offering something very different and niche and making it work very well. So I was extremely honoured that he was able to give me some personal one to one time.
From the moment I walked on to his studio floor I was blown away by what I saw, from the personal welcome, to the flowers, right down to the glass of water I was given.
And Mr Bailey didn’t disappoint either. As I couldn’t help but be inspired by this thoroughly nice guy doing what he loves and oozing the confidence of his 30 years experience which surpasses many here in the UK.
But what did I learn you may ask? Lots. But for you my readers I was told I should blog more often.
So based on Mr Bailey’s words of wisdom I have decided that instead of twice a month. I will blog once a week. (Ok Preston don’t roll your eyes. Its not everyday but I’m heading in the right direction (smile).
However I need help from you my fellow readers to make this work. Tell what you would like me to write about as I can’t do this alone and need your input? So I look forward to seeing your ideas.
In the meantime my thanks to Preston Bailey and wishing you well at this difficult time in New York.
