Last week I was kindly invited to Croydon College’s end of year fashion show. A great opportunity for the students and soon to be graduates on the BA (Hons) Fashion Design with Business course to show off their talents and I have to say I was duly impressed. The course which enables students to become confident in the creative design process as well giving them an understanding of the business aspects relating to the fashion industry I believe is doing a sterling job. Designers who stood out for me was Gifty Beckoh whose dress above and outfits below come from her Origanza collection.
Sandra Codjoe, Noemi Orban and Olamide Ajimotokin featured below also caught my eye for bringing something unique to their collections. Sandra with her layered dress, Noemi with her casual yet smart style and Olamide with her plaits.
Despite the above designers graduating this year, Croydon College still have a wealth of talent to watch out for. I loved the draped collection from the first years which is very current, and of those Erica Hayward, Jacqueline Peyandane and Elizabeth Narayna impressed with their shorter draped dresses featured below.
So what do you think? Are you as impressed as me? Any of the above dresses would be great for a special event outfit you have coming up right?
Anyway if you have a new collection that you’d like to have styled in a Pierre Carr shoot or even featured do get in touch.
