As an event organiser I’m so often caught up in the doing I forget about how wonderful the result of all my hard work is. So it was a nice surprise to receive through the post a recent copy of Brides Abroad magazine which featured one of my couple’s weddings. This post then is a little reminder of the day and some of the details that they chose.
Mark and Ava chose to marry on the beautiful island of Jamaica as the groom grew up there as a child and had strong family roots, and with their desire to have a great location with a sea view Round Hill was a natural choice for their wedding. For a theme they chose the colours purple and white which was featured throughout their wedding with purple dendrobiums, purple spray roses and purple stock.
With simple elegance key for the bride, Ava chose a lace Justin Alexander fishtail dress with veil and with her mum giving her away I remember there was some great emotional moments during their time getting ready.
When all the planning is over and the reason for all the decisions arrive I have to say the best moment for me has to be when I see the couple come together at the alter and they look in each others eyes and realise that this is it and they start to relax and get back to what the day is all about – them.
I would like to thank Mark and Ava for choosing me to share their special day and I wish them a lifetime of happiness together. For full details of this wedding pick up a copy of Brides Abroad at your local WHSmith or see the digital version here.
