Wedding Inspiration: Wedding Separates

America Socialite Olivia Palermo (famous for her role in reality TV show The City as well as her priveleged upbringing on New York’s Upper East) recently married her German fiancé Johannes Huebl, in Bedford New York in what was a small intimate affair. What I loved, was what she wore! A three-piece outfit by Carolina Herrera  consisting of a cream cashmere sweater with scattered ostrich feathers and white shorts, covered by a full satin and silk tulle skirt with floral details and a slit that showed off her legs.

My thoughts automatically were, well if you can’t find the dress you want for your special day what about pulling separates? So get inspired with what I pulled below.

If blush is your colour how about these skirts from Watters Bride, on the left is Milada, a rosegold multi-tiered flared skirt priced at £1400 and on the right is Ashan, a rosegold soft net ball gown skirt priced at £1500.

For a top why not try this simple eye lash camisole from J Crew priced at £248 or these boho chic beauties below by Paris based Rime Arodaky.

For more skirt options head to Charlie Brear (top left) for her ostrich feather overskirt £1990 or Erdem’s (bottom left) Miley organza applique tulle maxi £1344. But if you really like Olivia Palermo’s style why not try Monique L’Hullier’s (right) Paige skirt £424.

So which separate do you love? All I can say is don’t despair if you can’t find that winning dress as there really are so many other possibilities.
