September continues to play host to fashion week season, so its only right that I continue to feature some of the pretty that caught my eye, over in Milan this week. The DSquared2 twins Dean and Dan Caten’s fun look above couldn’t go without a mention especially as the silk raffia fabric, woven in vibrant colour blocks would make any of you ladies stand out for all the right reasons. To get inspired on colour blocking head here.
Philipp Plein above didn’t disappoint me as I have been in love with the 50s silhouette all season. He kept the the simplicity of the style going but added chain-trimmed shrunken leather biker vests with full skirts and dipped into crystal embellishment dresses, nice! For a stand out stripey silhouette number head to Karen Millen.
Alberta Ferretti continued the hippy chic style but managed to fall back to what she does best – romance, with nude-tone chiffons and mousselines cut into filmy slipdresses. Then there was the strapless floor-sweeper woven into a trellis, where flower vines arduously grew (swoon). If its chiffon floral slips you like try this short version or for a longer version in a nude tone head here.
Emilio Pucci’s gorgeous and bold tie dye printed tent dresses with bejeweled metal bib necklaces stood out for me and his macramé dress with only the trace of beads was another stand out feature. Head to Selfridges for more of his look here.
Finally I have to mention Blumarine, its been all about flowers for me this season as well and Anna Molinari the force behind the label aptly named the collection ‘In Bloom’ which clearly highlighted just how much flowers would be featured, from embellishments, appliqué, and thread embroidery this collection did she not disappoint. Love the look head to Farfetch for some more pieces.
