Bridal Trend: Solange Knowles Wedding Dress

Well if you haven’t heard already, its official Beyonce’s younger sister Solange Knowles married her long time boyfriend, video director Alan Ferguson in New Orleans. Solange well known for her ‘out there’ red carpet style did not disappoint with five, yes wedding outfits that are so trend setting, they clearly show the traditional wedding dress really doesn’t have to be your choice if you want to pull off something else.

At the ceremony Solange pulled off a custom caped gown by Humberto Leon for Kenzo with statement gold cuffs by Lady Grey and Stuart Weitzman shoes. If you like this look why not try Roland Mouret’s wool crepe gown and for the cape try this.

Normally a wedding faux pas if you turn up as a guest wearing white. But there was no upstaging here as Solange ensured she stood out from  all the guests who were all asked to wear white.  I’m really loving the artistic element of this photo, don’t you?

Preferring to travel to the church on a white-painted bike the twenty eight year old bride wore her first Stéphane Rolland jumpsuit for the day, a cream low plunge neckline jumpsuit with a cutout back and cape detail. Loving this look head to Emilia Wickstead for a gorgeous cut out back jumpsuit.

Following the ‘I do’s,  Solange changed into her second jumpsuit  with a sexy keyhole cutout for a traditional New Orleans-style second line parade. For a plunge jumpsuit why not try this from Revolve.

Finally, the singer’s reception attire, an airy, slit-to-there wrap dress was the perfect look to finish the festivities and wear for her mother and son dance. (Image from a video (which you can watch here).

Well, phew I thought that two or three wedding dresses were quite a feat for Kim Kardashian see post here, but this one beats that hands down.

Well let me know if jumpsuits or capes will be your thing for your special day?
