For the last couple of months I have been getting you ready for the festive season with party wear inspirations. But it wouldn’t be right to be talking party clothes and not mention shoes, right? Well you’ll be pleased to know then, that in this post I’m talking seriously gorgeous shoes! And I’m not talking about any old shoes. If I’m going to discuss this then I have to do it right and feature a shoe designer that I have respected for quite a while – Ms Freya Rose.
Well known for her bridal shoes, demand has finally forced this little lady to bring out an an inspirational ready-to-wear collection this season, incorporating her signature influences of Art Deco, Orientalism and the French Bohemian era. This collection is luxurious and opulent and the shoe above and below is my name sake ‘Michelle’, a stunning and elegant lace peep toe platform shoe fit for any occasion.
The delicate design of this shoe is handmade with opulent french leavers lace, embroided with metallic thread and mirror gold leather. To bag yourself this shoe head here.
Freya Rose renowned internationally for her intricate detailing and her inherent use of bejeweled and opulent embroidered designs refers to her childhood as inspiration. Born into a family of fine jewelers, she was consistently surrounded by and exposed to creative artistic references. The above and below shoe known as Lourna features a gold covered platform, a lace-on- satin upper and ankle strap for extra support.
With a high heel and an elegant 3cm platform for added comfort, the perfectly proportioned silhouette with a special memory foam lining is designed to keep you comfortable until the early hours. If you love this shoe head here.
Do you remember Super Saturday at the Olympics when Jessica Ennis took the gold in the heptathlon? Well the above shoe was inspired by this and has rightly been called Ennis to celebrate.
A limited edition creation Ennis is made with opulent mirror gold leather and the gold rose is handmade using vintage gold leaf fabric that is over 100 years old. So don’t delay head here to pick yours up.
Moving away from the molten golds of this collection some of you will be happy to know there are some gorgeous jet black shoes again with delicate pieces. The shoe above known as Hiko is an exclusive peep toe shoe from the Freya Rose Couture Hanami collection. Made with fine French Chantilly lace and luxurious black silk satin featuring embellised Japanese Clay Beads, deluxe gold thread and gold flowers. To see the Hiko in more detail head here.
