These days, the best place to express yourself is through slogan clothing. For adults this has been quite the norm for quite some time, so its not surprising that it has filtered down to kidswear. However the main difference now is instead of seeing the usual cute slogan like ‘Daddy’s little girl’, they have now become quite empowering and I have to say I love it.
I stumbled on this cool sweat last month and it touched a real note with me, as it came at a time when my little one was being told on the infant playground by her peers, that she couldn’t play football with the boys because it was a ‘boys game’. Who knew in this day and age and at the age of six, old school archaic opinions are still being feed? I without hesitation explained passionately that she could do anything she wanted and don’t let anyone tell you any different.
This very cool Girl Power sweat is an exclusive collaboration with Lux and Black, a London based fashion label since 2017 who create premium gender-neutral slogan sweatshirts & T’s for all ages, from baby to adult and Mini-Edit. There are three sweats in this collab and features cool monochrome tones which you can dress up with whatever you feel. As its still summer I’ve gone for this printed Soft Gallery Neva Maxi Skirt in pale pink.
Until next week xx.
