Fashion, KIDS

Fashion designers have long turned to Art for creative stimulus, so its not surprising then for me to discover children’s wear brand Raspberry Plum founder Aleksandra Matthew is a graduate from London’s Royal College of Art and her SS18 collection has been inspired by Jazz music and Jazz inspired art from the mid 20th century.

Details from the collection include embroideries of faces depicted as singing and figures playing instruments as well as abstract musical illustrations. The music itself influences the mood and the playfulness of the collection and this can be seen in this surrealistic inspired piano print bikini which combines both fun and fashion led concepts which I love.

This surrealistic piano print set taken from the SS18 collection includes appliqué hands attached to the front with a frill around the waist in contrast details, along with a black and white piano design which gives it a strong graphic edge. This little number definitely shouts fun so if this is your bag have a look at the rest of the Raspberry Plum swimwear collection to see if any others take your fancy too.

Until next week!!
