This week, I finally get talk to you about New York Bridal Week a bi-annual trade show where you get a great opportunity to look at all the new collections for the coming year. For Fall 2015 (which was what this months show was all about) there were a number of fashion forward trends I know you’re going to love and one of them is drop dead gorgeous backs. So if you are a bride to be or know of one who would love her dress to look just as good from the back as well as the front this post is for you/them.
Claire Pettibone’s Couture Fall Collection featured above showcased so many gorgeous backs I have to start with her. Inspired by Iconic Gothic cathedrals such as Notre Dame, Westminster Abbey and St. Patrick’s this Gothic Angel Collection oozed metallic lace and silk embroideries giving it very much a romantic Emerelda feel. Full collection can be seen here.
Last week I featured Oscar de la Renta’s latest bridal collection and as you will see the backs of some of the dresses are stunning compared to the front. So do not rule him out ladies, not only is he the man of the hour after designing Amal Clooney’s wedding dress, but always features some gorgeous touches to his dresses.
The back of this Amsale dress gets my vote. An ordinary minimalist fit and flare dress from the front becomes so much more with this suit looking back. What do you think? Full collection here.
Reem Accra’s “Let there be light’ collection featured some gorgeous sheer-illusion dresses which showed off Acra’s signature, lavish embroidery and is clearly a back winner. Full collection here.
Carolina Herrera’s romantic collection featured this gorgeous short-sleeve gown with a sheer illusion, floral-embroidered back. Full collection here.
And finally for all those who are loving wedding seperates at the moment, I had to feature this gorgeous little number from Theia White the back just wasn’t what you expected from the front. Full collection here.
